Things you can do if you want to help us out
Hi all,
If you're looking for something to do here's a few opportunities being provide to volunteers (this list is also on the door of the equipment room).
Take pictures for CBB backgrounds:
•Class related
•Mill theme
•Follow the river
•Happy/busy elderly people for Sr. Centr
Organize Tech room
•Wrap cords
•Sort adaptors
•Check/change GL2 batteries
•Sweep floor
•Shut cabinets
In Playback Room:
Alphabetize the tapes on blue metal rack by show title. If there’s more than a few episodes of the same program use one of the plastic bags on the coat hook. Bags are already in place for “Arabic Hour” and “Reeling.”
Update CBB (if you’ve been trained)
•Check library’s calendar
•Check Senior Center’s calendar
•Check COOL’s calendar
•Check folder
•Add current class schedule
Production:
•Sponsorship buffer: A 60 second piece that would play before sponsored (non-local) programs. Should include: What is LTC, who can make a show, who can sponsor a show, who’s responsible for the content of a show, who is not responsible for a show.
•General buffer: A 60 second piece similar to the above, but with no mention of sponsorship and a little more hype for member services.
•“Learn at LTC” PSA. 30 or 60 seconds. Probably shouldn’t be time-sensitive, unless you want to leave it 5 seconds short so a slide can be added with current enrollment information.
•DIY-TV. 30 or 60 seconds hyping the “do-it-yourself” ethic and pushing the idea of how doing your own TV show is a pretty cool thing. Outside of the length you have full creative control on this.
